Founded in 1997, San Francisco Book Company is an English language bookshop located in the heart of the Left Bank of Paris.
We offer a wide range of books including pocketbook fiction, mysteries, science fiction, academic, esoteric and collectible titles on a wide variety of subjects: history, art, science, philosophy, religion, humanities, theater, music, film, food, children's etc.
Our inventory is primarily used but we also stock a limited number of new books of popular titles that are always in demand.
We do special orders of single titles both new and used and offer our services to schools and other institutions who require multiple copies of the same title or large collections on specific subjects.
Our website can be browsed by subject, author, title or keyword. We post books worldwide and accept credit cards, Paypal, bankwire, and checks drawn on a French bank.
If you can't find what you're looking for or are not exactly sure what you're looking for just ask. More often than not we can find it and get it.
We also buy books of all kinds and in all quantities. There is normally a buyer on duty at all times in the shop but it's good to call before you come in. We do make house calls but it depends on the quantity and quality of what is offered. We pay cash and also offer credit at a higher rate to be applied to our inventory.
We are open seven days a week the year round. Feel free to call us or email us if you have any questions.
The Staff at the San Francisco Books Co.
We at San Francisco Books are still here and still taking orders. We have over 12,000 books online to choose from but we will also take special requests from our general stock of pocketbook fiction, science fiction, mystery, romance, etc. and from any other section in the shop. Just let us know what you're looking for ane we'll see how we can help. For those of you with store credit you can use that credit if you're willing to pay a little postage for use to mail it to you. We still ship anyhwere but of course precise delivery dates are an open question at this point but may become clearer as we move along.
In the meantime enjoy all this reading time that's been given us and we'd love to hear from you!
